| Breaking Them Down |

First of all, before I get to the main purpose of this blog, I wanna express my severe annoyance with the problems tBlog has been having.. Now that I've done that.. How bored do you really have to be to start breaking down the meanings of the themes "Open Your Heart", "Live & Learn", "Sonic Heroes", and "What I'm Made Of"? Appearently, VERY! And I've done just that.. Not only will I explain what the song means in my opinion, I'll also list them in order of how much I like them.. --- 1: Open Your Heart Can't beat the original, eh? This song set the standard for each and every Sonic 3D-Generation Game.. This song rocks from the very beginning.. The first thing I've noticed is the fact that it, in an odd sort of way, describes the Sonic/Chaos battle we're witnessing through out all of Sonic Adventure 1.. You have to kinda think outside of the box as you listen to the lyrics, but it's there.. Then other thing about this song is what it seems to really mean.. It's got this feel of "No matter what I have to go through, no matter what you try to do to stop me, I'm coming straight for ya, and I'm not going to stop till your gone". Which is the exact thing that's happening between Super Sonic and Perfect Chaos during the final battle of the game.. And finally.. Open Your Heart.. I feel this is directed right towards Chaos, the angry beast whose firey rage causes him to reach his perfect form and begin reeking havoc in Station Square.. Seeing as he had all that pent up rage from being sealed inside the Master Emerald, he needed to let his heart open up and let the rage go so that he could once again return to his peace.. 2: What I'm Made Of What I'm Made Of, like Open Your Heart, 4-5 years before it, describes the awesome rivalry between Sonic and his metallic counterpart, Metal Sonic.. But unlike Open Your Heart, I feel that What I'm Made Of gives alot more detail to the battle between the two.. This is a fued that's been developing since back in '92.. This time, in Sonic Heroes, Metal Sonic is trying to collect all the DNA he can to finally defeat his 'loathesome copy' as he says.. The chorus of the song describes the plot of Metal Sonic in Sonic Heroes the best.. As for the rest of the song.. It too, like Open Your Heart, carries that "Bring everything you got, becuase I'm not stopping till I take you down" feeling.. But not as strong as Open Your Heart, mainly becuase of the music.. Open Your Heart is more hard rock than What I'm Made Of Is.. But hey, it still made number 2.. 3-A: Sonic Heroes The reason why this is 3-A is becuase I couldn't decided to choose between Live & Learn and this one.. Right off the bat, this song is OBVIOUSLY coming from the point of view of Sonic, with bits from Team Sonic as a whole.. If you haven't played the game yet, the first thing you might think of when you listen to Sonic Heroes is that it's about Sonic going after Eggman.. But for those of you who HAVE played and have also seen the intro movie, you'll also think of Sonic coming after Metal Sonic.. which, technically, he is.. He just doesn't know it.. And that feeling seems to get more strong as you get to know the games storyline better.. And, like the above two songs, Sonic Heroes gives off that same "We're going to do anything to succeed" feeling.. Only, not as strong.. this time lyrically and because of the music.. But that doesn't mean the song sucks.. it's actually a pretty awesome song when everything is said and done.. 3-B: Live & Learn Once again, 3-B becuase I coudn't decided between it and Sonic Heroes.. Unlike the first three songs, Live & Learn seems to have a completely different meaning than the other 3.. For one, the other three all came from a Sonic/Team Sonic POV.. This time, it seems to be coming from the third person.. While this song is used for the final battle against the Biolizard/Final Hazard, the only fighting reference in the song doesn't even pertain to the thing.. The main thing about Live & Learn is that it's trying to say that you need to fight to create YOUR tomorrow.. And to learn from yesterday's mistakes, you must push forwards and see what the future holds in store.. It's actually a very meaningful song, and the music is perfect for it.. it just doesn't have the meaning you'd expect.. But, like Sonic Heroes, the song is absolutely awesome despite my ranking it with 3rd.. --- Feel free to comment.. |

Lately I've been lacking in the inspiration deparment.. mainly the motivation bit.. couldn't write at all.. Then I got Sonic Heroes on the 8th. Soo.. As of now, Midnight's story is postponed indefinately.. I have a Sonic story I wanna finish, and depending on how long this inspiration lasts, I may start a story focusing more around Shadow and Terios which will exclude Sonic, Tails, & Robotnik. Maybe I'll get some Midnight inspiration one day |

I've been itching for HOURS to add something to this blog.. and yet, nothing comes to mind.. It's relatively boring during school breaks.. Well, there is the fact that Raista is pregnant with a second child ^^; So, one interesting thing at least.. Maybe one of the others will find something to write.. Well.. It depends which one c.c;; |

Yay, look! I've got this thing up and running.. still looks kinda cheap though c.c; I took me hours to get that yin-yang right.. But yeah, The Blog is up and running and.. um.. Yeah.. --- Midnight's Entry: Ok, enough of him. Hopefully Gemini doesn't get what he wants.. My life.. And it hasn't been revised yet, so deal with the rough draft crap =P --- Zero & Sunny's Entry: Sunny: Sunny here ^^ I had a nice New Years.. Spent in the arms of Zero ^-^ Zero: And I declined Ballades invite to the New Years party at Wily's Fortress.. It looks like he had socks on his hands when he wrote it.. Sunny: Other than that, nothing much has happened.. Just a few random things here and there.. But the fridge is looking close to empty.. I'll have to get to the store tomorrow --- Shadow 255's Entry: *yawn* Sarah insisted that we get off the Floating Island for New Years, so we ended up in New Port City.. Was actually kinda nice.. Despite having to put up with some of the morons parties always seem to attract.. We rented a hotel room for the night, finally making it to bed around 6am *yawns* But hey, we're back on the island and I can finally get some real sleep.. As for Knuckles.. He just did his usual thing.. Nothing.. --- See? I warned ya last entry I've gotta share this thing.. As for myself, I spent the night with my mom, wife, and daughter.. It was almost quiet.. Until the new year hit.. Then I couldn't get Raista to shut up -.- That pretty much wraps up this batch of entries.. Later ^_^ |
